My motto should be "Have Gavel Will Travel"! I already use my professional skills gained over thirty years behind the rostrum. As a freelance auctioneer I now sell at Morphets Saleroom in Harrogate at their fortnightly and fine art sales.

I also attend numerous charity events where a professional auctioneer is required to encourage and enhance the bidding for worthwhile causes.

One of the greatest pleasures I have is to converse with people and speak on a variety of subjects. My topics range through specific subjects such as New Hall porcelain, fine art, to a general talk on my life experiences in private practice and involvement with the BBC.

I have in the past spoken to NADFAS organisations, Women's Institute regional days and individual groups, Antique and Fine Art Societies, Historical Societies and am regularly requested to lecture for P & O Cruises, Discovery and Fred Olsen Lines.
