Auction
The world of antiques and fine art is becoming highly specialised. But with many auction houses providing a ‘catch-all’ service, it is rare to find one auction house capable of finding the right market for every object.
We specialise in giving personal attention to clients, helping to choose the right sale for their items..
It may be advantageous to include certain objects such as toys, postcards, ceramics, clocks, scientific instruments or similar items in a more suitable specialist sale outside the immediate geographical area. This can be a time consuming process but we will advise on the best course of action to achieve the maximum return and, if requested to do so, undertake to place the items in appropriate sales.
Private Treaty
Sometimes people do not want to sell by auction.
Some items do not justify the expense of selling by auction or it may be that a quick or discrete sale is required.
In these situations we are able to recommend reputable, established dealers specialising in the specific field.
Restoration
It is the nature of things antique that from time to time they require attention: we are able to recommend professional restorers of all antiques.
